Geraldine Davis
Back at the beginning of 2012, I took a leap of faith and started up Senior Care Support Services as a bespoke care advocacy and advisory service. Prior to this, I had worked for several years within a senior management role of a ‘high end’ care home group, having numerous care homes throughout the UK and America.
This experience held me in good stead in gaining a firm understanding of how the care sector operates here in the UK, which in turn allowed me to help clients coming through the door with a care crisis on their hands.
My vision of Senior Care Support Services was to be able to offer a bespoke ‘care advisory’ service to my client(s), one where individuals and family members felt safe, listened to, valued and informed, especially at a difficult time when dealing with a personal care needs crisis for an elderly, frail, family member.
I have built my business based on a number of core values that I continue to hold dear. Integrity, compassion, honesty, confidentiality and empathy are the values that have underpinned the success of my business within the later life care sector.
To ensure my client(s) can make an informed decision as to the next step within their care journey, whether that be domiciliary care in the home, or a move into an appropriate care home setting, I knew it imperative to form good working relationships with other relevant professionals within the care sector. These have been a mix of local contacts such as later life accredited financial advisors, private client solicitors, medical clinicians and other related charities and professionals. Building on these relationships has been a key to my continued success and referral source.
I have worked hard to ensure that my business practice is underpinned with sensitivity and compassion, with the philosophy to offer later life care solutions through a unique, person-centered approach. I commit to operate in my client’s best interest to ensure the most appropriate later life care solution is achieved and work hard to ensure that I am available to support my client throughout the whole process.
Over the years, I have received some fantastic testimonials from both clients and related professionals and am proud to have offered a service that led to these recommendations and testimonials.
I have attached a few of my most recent Testimonials
Client’s Son:
“I do not know what I would have done without Geraldine’s expert advice and support, during an extremely difficult time. She enabled me to return to the United States confident in the knowledge that my mother was being expertly cared for.
Geraldine guided me through the confusing and often frustrating landscape of senior residential healthcare. Then when I decided that it would be best for mom to stay in her own apartment, Geraldine formulated an enhanced care package with a top health care company.
I would thoroughly recommend anyone having to arrange care for a family member to call Geraldine Davis and save themselves time, money and stress.!
Many thanks,”

Client’s family:

Geraldine has done an excellent job and we would very strongly recommend her to any of your clients facing similar circumstances with regard to navigating the care system. Please do pass on my email and telephone number should anyone wish to also have a written or verbal recommendation from us.
Thanks entirely to Geraldine’s persistence and hard work, my father is now in the ……. home in …… This has an Outstanding rating by the CQC and my brother and l have been very impressed. “
Daughter of a lady placed in care:
“Geraldine, Our huge thanks for all your support and advice over the last months. I really don’t know how I would have progressed mum’s care without you.
Truly grateful”
Daughter of a lady placed in care:
“My mother was placed into a temporary care home after being discharged from hospital. For my mother’s safety, it was deemed necessary to move her into permanent residential care. I found the whole process of looking for a suitable home, sorting out the financial allowances, clearing my mother’s flat and making sure mum was all right more than overwhelming.
The moment I got in touch with Geraldine, the burden started to lift. I found her easy to talk to and her wealth of knowledge gave me confidence that she would be able to help me find a suitable care home for mum. In fact, I wished I had contacted her earlier as she would have prevented mum from being placed in temporary care, we could have waited for a permanent bed in a care home of our choice. Moving an elderly lady once is bad enough, but I had to move her twice in a short space of time.
Geraldine has been fantastic at helping me fill in official forms and communicating with social services and care services on my behalf. She sourced a number of relevant care homes for us to look at and accompanied us to each one, looking to match it with my mum’s needs and where she might settle the best. In fact, due to Geraldine, my mum was allocated/secured a room in our chosen care home and had moved in before I even received a list of available care homes from the social worker ….. need I say more!
Geraldine provides a great service, is very efficient and competent in her work and has been contactable throughout the process. I have found her most genuine and easy to talk to, she has become more of a friend. I would not hesitate in recommending her and have in fact done so already.”
From a lady client regarding her husband:
“Dear Geraldine, I want to thank you for your excellent service in helping me move my mum into ………. So quickly when my husband was so very ill. Also, for the kindness you gave to me during this time. You were my best friend and I will always think of you and be grateful for all of the help you gave me.”
And finally,
A testimonial from a family that I moved their mother into care:
“Dear Geraldine, Just to say a really big thank you for all of the help that you gave to us and mum in finding a suitable care home for her. It was so lovely to have someone there to take away some of the strain and worry. I don’t know how we would have coped without you.”
Based on the goals I originally set myself when starting Senior Care Support Services, I genuinely believe that I have made a real difference to both the care sector and to my clients. Clients that I have supported through their care journey, at a time in their lives that they have desperately needed relevant information and guidance to allow their care journey to work in their best interest.
