1.Business Woman of the Year

This is to recognise someone who is either a Business Owner or member of Senior Management of a Company that has performed outstandingly throughout the year. You and your business should stand out from the crowd, the winner of this category will have developed a strong business presence with proof of particular achievements and an innovative approach.
Judges will be looking for a person that can be universally admired for their commercial practice and dedication to success
2.Unique Business (new for 2018)
This business is individualistic, bespoke, unusual. It stands out from the crown for being different. It is successful and enterprising. The judges will want to hear the idea behind it and goals for the future.
3.New Business of the Year
This is to recognise and reward a new Business Owner who has being trading for no more than two years.
If nominated, we ask the business owner to tell us why they started the business, what their achievements and aspirations have being to date and potential for growth within the coming years.
The Judges are looking for a person who had a clear goal and followed her vision and dreams to deliver her initial idea.
This person is either a successful Entrepreneur, a self-starter and a motivator.
The Judges will be looking at individual achievements, results returned by their business and unique approach to the marketplace. They will be selected for their entrepreneurial spirit.
5.Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Award
This is a Business Woman who works for a company or a Business Woman who owns a company which excels in the field of science and technology. This award recognises advancement and innovation in daily life.
The finalists will be selected on their dedication, sustainability and how they have been able to demonstrate how the use of STEM improves not only the performance and leads to expanded business growth of the company but also shows how women can succeed and inspire other women to enter their field of business which to some maybe perceived as male dominated industry.
6.Successful Career from Home Award
We will be looking for a Business Woman who has decided to establish and set-up a business working from home.
This person will be recognised for their ability and dedication to developing something creative across a variety of industries. They must be able to demonstrate dedication to financial achievement, as well as a strong dedication to future business success whether this is on their own or balancing a home family life too.
7.Achieves in Business (Employee Award)
This is a person that has been nominated by their Company. This person may work behind the scenes, customer facing or in sales/business development role. Someone, who has gone that extra mile for the Company.
If chosen, we will ask the company to tell us why they believe this person deserves this Award.
8.Achieves in business
This person will be in Management or Owner of a Company. Her achievements within the business will be outstanding and will have made a great impact in the company’s overall growth. The judges will want to hear about future goals and aspirations
9.Achieves for Charity Award
This person is someone who runs or works on behalf of a charity or social enterprise. This may be charitable, volunteering, pro bono or simply supporting an organisation with their time.
The Judges will focus on fundraising projects, financial constraints and how you have overcome these challenges. They will want to hear what positive impact this has made to people’s lives.
10.Inspirational Woman Award
This lady is an inspiration and we need to know why. Her enthusiasm either in the workplace or the community makes her stand out from the crowd and her creative influence inspires others.
The judges will want to know why this lady is so special and how she has contributed to the community
11.Young Achiever Award
This is award is to recognise someone within full-time Education, whether studying at School, College or University. This young lady is a ‘Rising Star’ recognised by their Educational Establishment for their hardworking and determination to succeed and is someone who has a bright future ahead and deserve to be recognised.

12.Inspirational Young Achiever Award
This young lady succeeds against all odds. She inspires others with her passion for life despite overcoming difficult times.
13.Venue or Venue Host Award

This is an award chosen by Ladies First and members. It is in recognition for the help and support they have given us and our attendees for the last 12 months.
14.Reporter/Media Award (New for 2018)
This person is someone who through their hosting, reporting and writing, has kept the region very informed and aware of what has been going to their audience.
